Hmmm

I know that music...
In fact, a good friend of mine, Dj Ze made a song in 2001 using Reason 1 called "Dream Versus Reality" that was 10 minutes long.
The thing is that this song and your other song, "Dance", published in 2004 both use parts of that song he created.
For this one, same piano, same kick line and same melody, using the same lead instrument...only a few things are modified. Same problem with your song "Dance".
So my question is : do you know him too, or did you steal his work ?
Thanks in advance...

dj-pompier responds:

hmmm i have done this song when i was really young , and i only used ejay se ... now im using Fruity loops producer edition.. so i just think your friend got the loop in the same program

That's a wonderful song !

I usually don't like to make reviews, but sometimes the song is so good, that you can't avoid to do so...at least to show the composer he made something very nice...

The progression is really good, with an awesome melody build. The bassline is a bit generic but fits perfectly with the lead synth.
It sounds really professionnal regarding most of the songs here on Newgrounds.
You are good at it, really. So keep up the good work, I'll be looking forward to hearing some new stuff like this from you in the future :).

TerraNation responds:

Hello thanks for the kind words, Yes i will keep on makeing music glad u liked it / TN

You've got to finish this

You've so many unfinished songs that could be among the very best of Newgrounds...
This one is one of them : the beat is good (for a WIP ; I guess you'll add some more variety in the trance part in the full song), the rain fits perfectly with the thunder at the beginning, and the piano is just...awesome, and the melody...probably one of the best I've heard so far on Newgrounds.
That's what I call a future masterpiece : finish it ! :)

Great voices...

Exactly as in Energize, the voice sample is very well used ! The pads are just...wonderful ! Too bad the passage is too short...
The rest of the song is a bit repetitive, because there is no real lead, just a melody playing over and over again with pads and the same bass... it's why you don't get a 10 for this one ;).
But hey, keep up the good work, and I'm looking forward for your next song :).

SkyMarshall responds:

Thanks a lot man =) Repetive is a good word for this yes, as it was made mostly in one go. To be honest, I just wanted to wrap the vocal-idea from Doom there in something :) And Im glad you dont hate it, so thanks a lot for the 9 and the review :)

What an introduction !

I don't know why you got 0-bombed with that song...
It has one of the best trance introduction I've never heard...Can't tell how many times I've listened to it since you posted it on Newgrounds...The way you mixed up the vocals is just...amazing ! And the pads fit very well with them.
For the rest of the song, can't tell more, the transitions are good, the beats are great, and there are many different melodies that make the song not repetitive at all...love it !

SkyMarshall responds:

Thanks lad :) Im glad you love it! Yeah the intro became quite epic and mellow, I like it as well. Sometimes you just hear something and go: "OH SHIT ... I just have to make that ... NAO!!!". And thats what happened to this. Tried to make the rest of the song varied as well. So thanks for the 10. I DO appreciate it =)

Btw: Who cares about the 0-bombing. Some people just have too much time and not so much to fill that time with - so let them have their fun. You found me, and enjoyed it - and thats pretty much all that matters to me :)

Love the Rock !

Love the movie, love the original song, and love your remix ;).
Hans Zimmer and Nick Glennie-Smith could be proud of you.
It's far from being perfect to my mind, but I love so much the melody that it deserves a 10/10 and 5/5 anyway.
The lead is a bit boring (I mean, not the main melody but the instrument...) as it doesn't really change during the song, and you could maybe work a bit more on the beats and bass... And you could maybe add one or two other melodies from the orignal theme :).
Why don't you work on it again as you've made huge progress during these 10 years ?
Whould love to hear a new version of this ;).

SkyMarshall responds:

Hans Zimmer composes some sick melodies indeed, just got to love his work. Im glad you like this take on it, even if its old as creation itself. And yes, I have ofcourse thought about doing another one with the knowledge I have today - and I might just do that. And I'll be sure to upload it here ofcourse :)

Thanks for the 10 and the awesome review =)

At last

You're finally on Newgrounds, with this wonderful song, after the "incident" with Seven to Five...
Hope to hear more from you in the furure ;).

Lasj responds:

Thanks :D

Beautiful

This is one of the best piano piece I've ever listened to.
The melody is just....wonderful !
Maybe an additional deep string would have made it even better...But it's already beautiful as it's now.

Valtrix responds:

Thanks! I worked hard on it. I thought about adding other instruments, but I really wanted to make it just piano.

Wonderful...

as usual...
Couldn't expect anything else from you, this is truly one of your best...
Make more...or make a CD :P

The best

This song is truly the best of newgrounds'.
I've been listening to it every day since october, and it's still my fav.
Can't wait till you make new stuff like that.

dj-Nate responds:
